About UnitSpectra

Established in 2004, UnitSpectra V.O.F. is a multi-faceted production entity operating in the music sector in the Netherlands. UnitSpectra's headquarters is located in a 330 m2 eight-room facility in “The Bunker”, a growing center for creative enterprise in Haarlem's Waarderpolder industrial area. When fully complete, UnitSpectra's headquarters will contain two professional recording studios with devoted control rooms, two areas for rehearsal & pre-production, an area for publicity, design and programming, a small lounge, and a showroom for musical instrument sales and leasing. UnitSpectra has three divisions:

Riga Studios, production center for live, original, acoustic and electronic music

GlobalFramework, software development for musicians, music business and music education

Kronus Music, provides sales & leasing services to woodwind instrument players

Riga Studios, the main production arm of UnitSpectra, enables live, original, acoustic and electronic music. While the full recording studio is under construction, local and regional bands utilize the space at Riga Studios for rehearsal, pre-production and small-scale recording projects. SpectralRadio (www.spectralradio.com) is the primary access point to Riga Studios creative output, an archive of content captured live and on-location, distributed through internet broadcasts and audio streams. Designer Philip Newell (Reflexion-Arts, Spain), former technical director of Virgin Records recording division, will oversee construction of the Riga Studios recording and control rooms. Philip Newell brings more than 30 years of expertise in live recording and acoustic design to Riga Studios and UnitSpectra.

Working within GlobalFramework programming architecture, UnitSpectra provides support for musicians, music business and music education. Developed by UnitSpectra, GlobalFramework software technology also forms the technical backbone of UnitSpectra operations, supporting both front-end (public) and back-end (internal) processes. Through innovation in graphic design and software development, UnitSpectra renders organizational structures specific to the needs of musicians.

Kronus Music (http://www.kronusmusic.com formerly Simon Sax) provides instrument sales and leasing services to musicians. Kronus Music caters to players of all levels, offering a full-line of saxophones, flutes, clarinets and woodwind instrument accessories. Kronus Music also offers instrument repair services.
